In Celebration of the Life of C. Anne Brown, Ph.D.

Our beloved Anne Brown passed away on October 30, 2008 after a brief illness. This extraordinary woman was deeply loved by so many of us in the Solution Community for her sensitivity, intelligence, professionalism and loving ways. We welcome you to share your memories and your gratitude for the ways that she touched your life.

Although her medical treatment required that she travel far from home, she chose for her illness to remain a private matter and continued to facilitate her Solution Telegroups until the last week of her life. According to her loving husband, Beau, she continued with her groups because doing so "gave her strengthen" and she felt very proud about continuing them, despite her medical condition.

Anne was deeply committed to The Solution Method. She arranged conferences, retreats, trained health professionals, developed training materials in the method, including those that clarified the psychological aspects of the method. Anne was a strong advocate for Solution Method research and a proponent of office-based research.

I am so grateful that her husband Beau taped Anne's beautiful voice in a Feelings Check and is sharing this recording with all of us.

Anne has been at the heart of the method and our community and the method has grown and evolved in many ways because of her sacrifices and generosity.

We will share your comments that you post below with her husband, Beau and her son, Julian, as expressions of how deeply Anne touched people's lives.

In addition, donations may be made to two funds, The Anne Brown Memorial Fund for Julian for her beloved son’s education and The C. Anne Brown Memorial Fund for projects that support the method research which was her passion. Our Spring 2009 National Solution Method retreat will be held in loving memory of this gentle, loving pioneer in the development of the method. Anne's service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday November 21st at St. Phillip's Cathedral in Atlanta. For those wishing to attend, the address is 2744 Peachtree Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30305.

I hope you will hold Anne's light in your heart!
